DIAC Excellence Awards - Call for Nominations 2026

New for 2026, the inaugural DIAC Excellence Awards recognize the people and organizations whose leadership, service and contributions are helping strengthen Canada’s dental industry. The awards provide an opportunity to celebrate exceptional achievements across the DIAC community and recognize those making a meaningful impact on the industry.

Celebrate excellence: Recognize exceptional leadership, service, innovation and achievement.

Celebrate our industry together: Help DIAC recognize the people and organizations moving Canadian dentistry forward at the inaugural Excellence Awards reception on November 19.

Nominations & Eligibility

  • Any current DIAC member or industry peer may submit a nomination. 
  • Self-nomination is not permitted. 
  • Nominees must be current DIAC members in good standing. Organizations and individuals who are not yet members are welcome to join in order to take part.

Four Ways to Recognize Excellence

THE HENRY DOYLE MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD                              

Presented annually in memory of Henry Doyle, DIAC Board President and Chair (2021–2023). Henry led DIAC with passion and integrity during his tenure as President, and was a respected figure in our industry as a whole. His companies, including Heaps & Doyle, are longtime members of the Association, and he committed countless hours of his time to our board and committees over the years. We will always be grateful to him for his service to our organization, and, by extension, to our industry.

Eligible Recipients: Individual, any member segment


Criteria: Exceptional commitment to DIAC and outstanding contribution to the broader Canadian dental industry community, in the spirit of Henry Doyle’s leadership and service

NOMINATION FORM

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AWARD           

Eligible Recipients: Any member organization

Criteria: Recognizing a DIAC member organization that demonstrates an outstanding commitment to its people through training, talent development, professional growth and the creation of a strong workplace culture.

NOMINATION FORM

EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE            

Eligible Recipients: Any member organization

Criteria: Provision of a service, solution, or expertise that strengthened the Canadian dental industry

NOMINATION FORM

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD                

Eligible Recipients: Senior industry individual, nominated by peers

Criteria: Decades of sustained, consistent contribution to the Canadian dental industry, recognized by the DIAC Board

What your nomination needs

A complete nomination is easy to put together. Here's everything to have ready.

Every nomination must include

  • Nominator name, organization, and contact information 
  • Nominee name and organization 
  • A summary statement (150 words or fewer) 
  • Up to two supporting examples of impact 
  • Confirmation of current DIAC membership in good standing

Good to know

  • All awards are open to DIAC members only 
  • One category per nomination form 
  • Incomplete nominations may be set aside 
  • Winners announced at the AGM Reception, Nov 19, 2026
