Our Board

The Board of Directors of DIAC is made up of volunteer representatives from member companies. Board members serve terms of four years in duration and may stand for re-election at the end of their four year term. Board members are elected by the membership at the annual general meeting and usually sit on one or more committees of the Board. Board Committees include: Audit & Finance, Technorama & Conventions, Regulatory & Industry Affairs, Membership, Market Research & Data, and Executive & Governance.

DIAC’s by-laws and governance structure allow for members in good standing to nominate employees/owners of member companies to the Board of Directors and at the annual general meeting the membership votes for those nominated to sit on the Board for a term which can be 1-4 years dependent on the board vacancy.

The elected directors are responsible for electing the Executive of the Association.

A message regarding the loss of Henry Doyle, President of DIAC (2021-2023)

September 27, 2023

We are shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Henry Doyle, the President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dental Industry Association of Canada.

Henry has led DIAC with passion and integrity during his tenure as President and was a respected figure in our industry as a whole. The Canadian dental industry is a business sphere, but also a community, and we grieve together the senseless and shocking loss of this valued member of our community.

Henry’s companies, including Heaps & Doyle, are longtime members of the Association and he committed countless hours of his time to our board and committees over the years. We will always be grateful to him for his service to our organization, and, by extension, to our industry.

Henry’s death is a great loss to all who knew and loved him. We offer our deepest sympathies to Henry’s family and friends, and to his peers and colleagues in the Canadian Dental Industry. Henry will be truly missed.
